FAKE ART2024
"Fake Art" stems from my critical reflection on the increasing commercialization of contemporary art. Many artworks today, in chasing market value and media exposure, have lost their depth, relying instead on surface-level novelty and iconic appeal. In response, I collect discarded creative materials and deliberately construct meaningless objects to satirize this superficial trend. Within this fictional narrative, I also fabricate a ‘rising star’ artist—celebrated by the market—through whom I expose the absurd roles of artists, curators, and audiences, ultimately questioning the contradictions between art, commerce, and perception.
