The Inverted Pedestal challenges the constructed nature of authority in the art world. Rather than inheriting meaning from the artwork, authority is shaped by systems, context, and perception. By flipping the pedestal and placing it at the center—absent of any artwork—it becomes a metaphor for power, questioning traditional hierarchies and the illusion of the sublime. This work satirizes the emptiness of institutional formalism, revealing how meaning is often created not by content, but by its framing
